Course introduction
This course is intended PIs, researchers, veterinarians, animal facility technicians and Animal Welfare Officers (RBA) involved in the murine model and interested in tools and procedures (Von Frey/Kondziella), for continuing education under Directive 201o/63/EU and legislative decree 26/2014. At the end of the event, participants will have acquired knowledge relevant to: Recall the 3Rs and the applicable regulatory framework Describe the theoretical basis, indications and limitations of Von Frey and Kondziella. Perform setup, checks and calibration of the Von Frey device. Safely apply handling/restraint preparatory to Kondziella. Complete datasheets and interpret the expected readouts, in view of future authorised experimental applications.
