This online course provides an overview of reporting guidelines for the life sciences, with a focus on those of greatest utility for research in the area of One Health. Reporting guidelines are documents that indicate best practices in terms of writing research articles for different types of studies and in different disciplines. They specify the minimum amount of information to include in different parts of a research article so that the text is clear, the work is reproducible, and the findings are usable. This online course addresses this topic in three sessions: (i) rationale for, development of, and structure of reporting guidelines; (ii) key reporting guidelines for One Health research; and (iii) selected transversal reporting guidelines and other documents that provide guidance on planning and writing about research.
